Nueva Congregación Israelita (NCI) de Montevideo is the leading Conservative (Masorti) congregation in Uruguay, serving over 800 families. Its community center is a hub for Uruguayan Jewish life. 

NCI is dedicated to preserving Jewish traditions while embracing a pluralistic approach. This community is committed to maintaining Jewish traditions and customs, but it does so in a way that is inclusive and open to diverse interpretations and seeks to create a Jewish environment that is welcoming to people of all backgrounds. Beyond religious practices, the community is actively involved in education, culture, social action, and charitable work. They also have a strong commitment to Israel and its Zionist ideals, working to contribute to a more just and equitable society in Uruguay.

During the Jewish holidays of Tishrei, in October 2024, NCI hosted the Hatikva exhibit, which attracted approximately 3,000 visitors and was warmly received by the local community and beyond.
