Kane Street Synagogue (KSS) in Brooklyn, NY, a thriving Jewish congregation of approximately 400 families, recently hosted the Hatikva photography exhibit. This powerful display offered a visual narrative of the Israeli protest movement, capturing the energy, passion, and diversity of ordinary citizens.
The exhibit, held in the fall of 2024, during the High Holidays season and in commemoration of October 7th, provided KSS members and visitors a unique opportunity to connect more deeply with the Israeli people and their struggles. The opening night featured a communal gathering with a ceremony of song, contemplation, and prayer led by Rabbi Michelle Dardashti, Cantor Avital Lazar, and Noah Solomon. .
Through thought-provoking images, the Hatikva exhibit fostered valuable discussions and dialogue within the congregation and the broader Jewish community.
